Parov Stelar - Happy End

Καλημέρα και χρόνια πολλά σε όλους! Με μεγάλη χαρά, επιστρέφουμε τη νέα χρονιά και παρουσιάζουμε το μελαγχολικό Happy End του Αυστριακού μουσικού και dj Parov Stelar. Επειδή η χρονιά που μας πέρασε, για τους περισσότερους, δεν είχε το Happy End που θα θέλαμε,ευχόμαστε μέσα από αυτό το ιστολόγιο, η καινούρια χρονιά να "ξημερώσει" όπως ο καθένας επιθυμεί, και με ακόμα ομορφότερα τραγούδια! Το πρώτο από αυτά θα το αφιερώσουμε στο άτομο, που μας "σύστησε" αυτή τη γλυκιά μελωδία.

Timesbold - Bone Song

Σήμερα, θα ακούσουμε το εξαιρετικό Bone Song από τους Timesbold. Ιδιαίτερο ενδιαφέρον παρουσιάζει η παρουσίαση της βιογραφίας τους όπως εμφανίζεται στην επίσημη ιστοσελίδα τους και παρατίθεται αυτούσια παρακάτω.

"Timesbold is a band of five or six people from vastly different backgrounds, musically and otherwise... 
The members of the band do not live in a house together making songs up all day. 
The members of the band do not like the same music. 
The members of the band do not live in the same city; some do not even live within 3000 miles of one another. 
When not making records or touring, they rarely even speak to each other. 
They don’t dress alike, walk alike, act alike nor do they think alike. 

But, as it goes in this world of music, they have been through a lot together, and they love each other very much. 

This is not your typical band. 

These people come together in the spirit of this inherent conflict to breathe life into songs that become Timesbold songs, and have been doing so with an unlikely bliss since the turn of the century. The current members of Timesbold are lead-vocalist/lyricist Jason Merritt (a.k.a. Whip) and multi-instrumentalists Tony San Marco, Tony "Levon" Leva, Jesse Sparhawk and Max Avery Lichtenstein (who also handles production duties). The list of members past & guest participants is long and amusing.

Imany - You Will Never Know

Επιστρέφουμε με κάτι καινούριο με μία δόση φθινοπωρινής(ερωτικής) μελαγχολίας.  Η Imany, ξεκίνησε τη σταδιοδρομία της ως μοντέλο, μέχρι που βαρέθηκε να κάνει την "cintre" ,κρεμάστρα σε ελεύθερη μετάφραση και είπε να δοκιμάσει την τύχη της στη μουσική. Στην πρώτη της εμφάνιση, λέγεται ότι θύμισε πολύ την Tracy Chapman. Είναι δυνατόν λοιπόν, να μη της γίνει έστω μια αναφορά από αυτό το ιστολόγιο;

Με αφορμή την επικείμμενη κυκλοφορία του νέου άλμπουμ "i'm with you"των Red Hot Chili Peppers στις 30 Αυγούστου θα αποχαιρετήσουμε το παλιό με την μπαλάντα  "Hard to concentrate". Καλή ακρόαση!

Cotton Jones - Gone The Bells

Οι Cotton Jones Basket Ride λοιπόν, όπως ήταν το πλήρες όνομα τους αρχικά. Ένα συγκρότημα που μου το σύστησε το Stereomood. Το Stereomood  είναι ένα διαδικτυακό ραδιόφωνο, που παίζει μουσική ανάλογα με τη διάθεση του καθενός, δίνοντας τη δυνατότητα στο χρήστη, να επιλέξει από την playlist που τον ενδιαφέρει και να ακούσει στη πλειοψηφία τους άγνωστα τραγούδια και καλλιτέχνες. Στα υπέρ του,το γεγονός ότι επιτρέπει στο χρήστη να δημιουργήσει την προσωπική του λίστα με τραγούδια που του ξεχώρισε. 


Οι "βαμβάκι" Jones από το Maryland των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών ,σχημάτισαν μία indie-folk-pop μπάντα που αποτελείται από το δίδυμο Michael Nau και Whitney McGraw. Από το δίσκο Paranoid Cocoon έρχεται το πολύ όμορφο Gone the Bells.
